Lay Lani has solid experience working as a domestic helper in Singapore. From 2008 to 2016, she was employed by a Chinese family with three young boys aged 2, 5, and 7 years old. The family lived in a condominium with three bedrooms and three toilets. Lay Lani was the only helper in the household, and her main responsibilities included caring for the children—bathing, feeding, and changing their clothes—as well as managing the household chores such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, and ironing.

From 2019 to 2025, she worked for a Filipino family with three children—teenagers aged 14, 22, and 23 years old. They lived in an apartment with four bedrooms and three toilets. Lay Lani continued to be the sole helper, in charge of all household tasks including cleaning, cooking, laundry, ironing, and marketing.
